Hello! Please Note: I would like to extend my expertise in treating trauma to those who have been affected by recent shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs. Please reach out for help, you don't have to go it alone.
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a certified addictions counselor, and Licensed Professional Counselor with over 35 years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings and diverse populations. As of recent, I have been incorporating into my traditional practice, alternatives to treatment as a Preparation and Integration Specialist. I have a very special interest in assisting our Veterans, First Responders, Law Enforcement and their families regarding trauma informed care/PTSD. I sincerely believe that addressing any trauma struggles in a manner that the client finds beneficial, will also assist with anxiety, depression, relationship and addiction issues. I work to provide a safe space for my clients to address issues in order to feel better and to promote the acquisition of a skill set for future problem solving. I would love to work with you if you are a resident of Colorado, USA.
My therapeutic approach is a mix of philosophies, techniques and styles which I feel have been effective in my 35 years of experience as a clinician. I believe that something unique to my practice is the idea that education around what is troubling us is valuable; for example, becoming familiar with how PTSD effects our Central Nervous System and so forth. I believe knowledge is power and I hope to empower my clients to live happier, fuller lives.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Mary Sullivan. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
So happy to have been paired with Mary. She helped me make progress with my healing and growth. I enjoyed all of my time with her.
A kind and empathetic woman who listens to my needs and acknowledges and validates my thoughts and emotions.
First time meeting with her I was very nervous of the virtual part in all of this, but we hit it off amazingly. She was exactly what I was looking for in a therapist and more along with a great connection. She was willing to hear me and proving new insight to various struggles and challenges me to hold myself accountable.
I have loved working with Mary. She has put a lot of puzzle pieces together for me and has made me feel a lot better about certain things.
Mary is the therapist I was meant to have! Her insight, expertise and compassion make her the person i can be open with and get feedback from that helps my healing move on.
Mary is empathetic and extremely helpful. I’m glad I found her.
