About me

You have chosen now to be on a positive path to growth and well-being.
As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the corner-stone of any helping modality. Establishing trust in the one you share details of your life with is paramount. I offer a non- threatening but directive approach to treatment. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary approaches and techniques, we will unearth behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
I have been in practice for over 20 years and have always started where the client needs start. There is no right or wrong way to pursue personal growth. Some stages are easy and quick and some are more difficult and slow. Together we can take that journey of exploration based on your comfort level. If you're looking for extra support and guidance, I look forward to working with you in achieving your goals. You are not alone.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Mary MacLeod. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Dr. MacLeod is a very nice woman. She’s honest when necessary yet kind with her words. I do wish she had more availability and that she checked in more. If I didn’t schedule a session every week, she wouldn’t reach out. Not sure if that’s not how this works. Other than that, she was a great counselor.

Dr Mary Macleod was like a savior to me. I am not a person who usually undergoes anxiety attacks, but I had a terrible one and by God’s grace I got Dr MacLeod as my counselor and she did a wonderful job. It was past her working hours I think, when I had a crisis moment and I really needed to talk to her via phone. It was late in the night, well past 11PM and she still managed to engage in a conversation with me, and gave me tips which suddenly improved my situation. I’ll thank God forever for the wonderful way she handled me. I strongly recommend Dr Mary MacLeod if in case you reading this has the opportunity to select a counselor.

Dr MacLeod has been wonderful. She seems to have a lot of expertise. She is knowledgeable at least in what I’m dealing with, and she had supported and encouraged me to make my own decisions and deal with things my own way. I recommend her.
