About Me

I am a New York State licensed clinical social work psychotherapist with post graduate training from an institute for psychotherapy in NYC. In addition, I am a trained life coach. I have a long career in private practice in New York and Florida as well as Rome, Italy where I lived for 12 years working specifically with the expat community. As a private practitioner, my work also entailed being an adjunct instructor, trainer, presenter, workshop leader and consultant.
My approach in dealing with clients is eclectic, using a variety of different techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, psycho dynamic, solution focused and client centered, to name a few. I strongly believe that one modality does not work for everyone and it is incumbent upon me to discover the techniques that will help each individual and their needs. This is why my style of providing therapy is supportive and one where I tailor my interventions to match the unique qualities and beliefs of each individual. With a variety of disciplines, I can help each individual create a clear vision of their future goals and develop their own resources and experiences to achieve those goals.

Mary has really helped me in the short amount of time I’ve been speaking to her. She has a lot of patience and listens intently to what I tell her. No matter how big or small my problems are, she provides me with wonderful resources to work through them and develop the skills I need to. She listens to my concerns and checks in during our sessions to see how things are progressing or changing. I highly recommend Mary.

I really enjoyed having therapy with Mary. She was really nice and always positive. She gave me really good advices, so just after the first session I was able to overcome the biggest cause of stress I have at the moment. I'm really happy she helped me find balance in my life. I'm much more positive and relaxed. She is really encouraging, and the therapy was really helpful! ★★★★★

Mary has been super wonderful, she has really helped me worked through traumas and collect my thoughts in terms of processing events that have happened to me. From when I started with her in the beginning of 2021 to now (4 months later), my out look on the world has really grown and my reality has completely changed in a really healthy way. I would very much recommend her and look forward to continuing my journey of healing with Mary as my therapist.

Mary is such a friendly and endearing woman. I thoroughly enjoyed my time getting to work with her the last few weeks. I came back home from a stressful international trip, and she really listened to me and provided a safe space for me to express myself. I would recommend Mary to everyone looking for support and a great person who will listen to everything and offer full love and compassion.
