About Me

My name is Mary Sowah-Quaye, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of California State University in Bakersfield. I've worked in many different settings with individuals and families who have a variety of personal issues such as depression/anxiety, stress, family problems, and relationships issues.

My counseling style is warm, interactive, empathetic, and client-centered. My approach combines person centered, cognitive behavioral therapies and motivational interviewing. I believe you are the expert in your own life and I look forward to helping you when you are ready.

Mary and I quickly identified goals for us to work and and share techniques to help me manage my anxiety. Mary was kind and supportive during our sessions, and she sent messages to check in between our calls. I had a great expereince and I'll use what I learned from Mary for a long time.
