About me

I am licensed in Illinois with 23 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, bipolar disorder, & depression. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

I aim to provide a safe, trusting, non-judgmental space for you to reflect, heal, and grow. Stuck, hurt, scared, or lost; finding your path again can be difficult. Whether you are returning to therapy or beginning for the first time, together we can identify what is holding you back and how to overcome it.
I practice with an integrative approach, combining aspects of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral theories, along with mindfulness and acceptance based interventions to help guide change.
Please contact me if you have any questions or are interested in a complimentary phone consultation to see if this is a good fit.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Mathias Kerger. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Mathias is fantastic. He really listens to what I’m saying and challenges me on some things that I need to be challenged on. Already after just a few short sessions I am noticing slight changes in my thought process. He gives me homework which is something I really enjoy and makes me feel more actively involved in my therapy.
