About me
Hi, my name is Matt Daues and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the States of Missouri and California.
I help others with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and older adult issues. My counseling style is pretty laid back.
I take a holistic approach to helping individuals which means I take the whole person into consideration including emotional and physical health issues, and social-economic issues. I collaborate with individuals to help you make your own choices and develop your own goals to improved health. I use aspects of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy and relaxation techniques. Mindfulness and meditation exercises can even be done in session. My job as a therapist is to listen to you, help you develop goals and assist you in finding solutions and feeling better.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Matthew "Matt" Daues. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Matt is a very kind and compassionate person. He is an experienced therapist and has great knowledge of human psychology. I would strongly recommend Matt.
He listens to what you have to say and gives the best advice
Great , responsive therapist! Kind and gives practical advice !
I finally found, after so many years I’ve lost count, a therapist who really cares and makes me feel comfortable to talk about my deep dark emotions.
Been w him for a year now, and have recommended this service many times
Matt is a great counselor. He is supportive and understanding while providing insight and possible solutions to issues in my life. I highly recommend him.
he seems to know what he is doing, im not an expert.
Matt Daues has helped me deal with my OCD and anxiety. He is a great therapist.
Thoughtful and understanding. The most reliable therapist I’ve ever had. Straightforward and clear advice for how to process and handle real life issues.
Matt Daues was very helpful and we were a very good match. I hope that I don’t have to contact him the future, but if I do, I am confident he could help me.
My therapist is thorough in his response time, & has good communication, puts in quality effort to slowly get to the root of the issue & help me find solutions for my current position in order to take the next step!! Making strides one day at a time.
Matt is such a great therapist he has been helping me with my anger problems I have and everything else
Matt has been a great addition to my weekly routine. He helps keep my grounded, gives me the capacity to take a step back, helps me to see things more clearly, and helps me reframe my approach to many things more simply. He listens well, and offers great perspective. I came to therapy as an overall happy and motivated person trying to learn myself better, and am doing just that. Life can throw any of us curveballs, and it has thrown me some within the time we've been working together. As the curveballs come, Matt helps me find a way to embrace them and to keep a consistent level of peace. He helps me to be an active participant in my life and to find consistent fulfillment. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with him, and highly recommend him to anyone who works well with someone who listens well while taking an active and objective role in the conversation.
Still early on but so far Matt has been helpful
Great work to have when you need help and are going through adversity
Matt’s a great dude. He’s very good at listening and coming up with solutions to problems.
He is comfortable and understanding while maintaining his work in a therapeutic lens based on solutions.
I am slowly starting to get a handle on my depression and anxiety since starting counseling with Matt. Counseling has helped me feel better. He has great handouts to help as well.
Matt is awesome!
I enjoy talking with my counselor.
Matt is slowly helping me regain a sense of rationality that I thought I'd lost forever. His laid back temperament & positive attitude have reminded me what it's like to have someone care for my mental wellbeing, something I haven't felt in the longest. And at the same time, he's rationally helping me through my self destructive tendencies. I would recommend him to anyone who's intimidated by the thought of working through their mind, as he has helped me break through barriers that I hadn't known existed.
