Matthew Kelley, LPC
About me
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or tired of talking about the same problems without real change?
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who works with adults, teens, and veterans navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and everyday stressors. My style is straightforward, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that therapy should feel useful, not abstract or endless.
I come from a background in education and counseling, and I’m especially drawn to working with veterans, adolescents, and clients who value practical tools alongside thoughtful conversation. I also have experience supporting individuals and families impacted by autism and neurodiversity, and I approach this work with patience, clarity, and respect for each person’s pace and goals.
In sessions, I draw from evidence based approaches such as CBT, solution focused therapy, and trauma informed care, while staying flexible to what actually works for you. I don’t believe in one size fits all therapy. We focus on understanding patterns, building coping strategies, and making meaningful progress at a pace that feels realistic.
Sessions are calm, direct, and engaging. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves. If you’re looking for a therapist who is grounded, honest, and genuinely invested in helping you move forward, I’d be glad to work with you.

He’s awesome sauce!!! I have never been challenged, or encouraged the way this man does. It’s like the best friend who cheers you on but also tells you the truth you need to hear. I am proud of the progress I have made with him on my team.

Matt has been a really great resource and I feel like he understands where I'm coming from on a deep level. We are able to connect on fatherhood and share the same principles so it's very easy to talk with him about the challenges I'm facing. Matt is a awesome dude
