About me

Hi, my name's Maz and I am a psychotherapist/counsellor who is here to hear you.

Counselling can be a really daunting route to take. Having to talk to a stranger about feelings, thoughts and emotions can be so far removed from people's everyday lives that the very thought can turn people off instantly but what if taking time out of your day talking to that stranger perhaps gave you breathing space, gave you time to think, feel, perhaps even revaluate.

People require support for all different reasons from but not limited to anxiety, feeling sad, low self-esteem, bereavement support, trauma, social anxiety & family issues but what stays consistent with my work is that you receive support when you need it most.

What your counselling sessions will look like

Firstly, my sessions are delivered online therefore it is important that you are able to have the sessions within a safe space that suits you. Within your initial session I will work on building your trust with me giving you the chance to talk whilst I listen to ensure you feel that we are the right fit for each other. It is important as you embark on this area of your life that you feel comfortable, safe and secure with me as your psychotherapist/counsellor.

Our sessions will not consist of me trying to fix you, I'm here to support you in what you bring to the sessions as there are many different areas throughout life which can cause struggles, pain & confusion, sometimes it comes in the form of a crossroad or stumbling block that you've come across at this time in your life that you wish to visit.

I come to each of the sessions with no agenda, as these sessions are all about you and what you want to bring to the sessions. I am a qualified integrative therapist which means I have a wide range of counselling techniques and tools which I can use to support you.

Reaching out for support is your first step.

Maz is very understanding and listens to what I have to say, and always offers the best advice for my situation, in a very kind, soft and caring manor. She doesn’t judge me and i highly appreciate her time and value my sessions with her.

Thoroughly enjoyed my sessions with Maz. She helped me reflect on events in my life through a new lens, which has given me fresh perspective and more optimism. She is a great listener and provided ample time and space for me to gather my thoughts which I appreciated. She was able to provide action steps going forward as well in relation to certain mindsets I adopt, which I found helpful. Would definitely recommend.
