About me
My name is McKenzie and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Alabama. I am an alumna of Auburn University, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Social Work, and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I graduated with a master's degree in Social Work. I also am currently employed as a Clinical Therapist on an inpatient behavioral health unit. Working in a hospital setting, I have developed experience in working with a wide array of populations.
My style of counseling is client-centered, with theoretical underpinnings of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I practice with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach. As a social worker, I believe in the dignity and worth of every person and I am committed to social justice.
