Meagen Short, LPCC
About me
Hello! I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Master’s degree in Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings, including private practice, early intervention, behavioral health, and community mental health.
I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate environment where we can work together to understand your challenges, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that help you move forward.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while incorporating other evidence-based approaches based on each client’s unique needs. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, self-esteem concerns, and emotional regulation difficulties. I also have experience supporting clients through parenting concerns, adjustment issues, and recovery from difficult life experiences.
As a bilingual therapist, I provide counseling in both English and Spanish. I believe that every person deserves to feel understood and empowered throughout the therapy process.
Reaching out for support is a courageous first step, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
