Megan Beecham, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 3 years of experience working with clients with dual diagnoses including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, substance abuse disorders, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Throughout my experience I have worked with clients in the group and individual therapy setting providing counseling related to family of origin issues, depression, substance use, grief/loss, loneliness, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, and emptiness related to finding purpose. Prior to going back to school for counseling, I worked with clients and their partners with HIV/AIDS.
I provide counseling through a person-centered perspective. I think it is important to let each client be the expert of their life, and recognize the personal strengths that are important in forming new ways to tackle ongoing issues that are holding each client back from finding and choosing to live their best, most fulfilled, lives. I think it is important for clients not only to participate in therapy, but also to participate in experiential modalities to recognize what will be helpful to work through experiences in the here and now.
I want to meet each client where they are in their process toward change and fulfillment. Thank you for choosing to let me work with you while finding fulfillment.

I went through 4 or 5 other therapists before finding Megan, just never finding the right fit or finding someone who I felt truly cared. I could never say enough about how Megan helped me change my life in just 5 months. The ONLY reason I’m switching therapists is because I moved to a new state and have to, but I am just heartbroken about it. Megan is honest, brilliant and so kind. She LISTENS. And truly, truly cares. A million gold stars. HIGHLY suggest working with her. Thank you again for everything, Megan. Finding your replacement will be so hard!

My therapist helped me through the most difficult time of my life & guided me to becoming the best me I can possibly be! With her help, I don't feel stressed & anxious 24/7, & I'm not overthinking & crying from the literal second I wake up & don't cry myself to sleep. I am truly happy again & in a good place mentally & emotionally. I'm even bettering myself these days (not just fixing my "problem"), which is more than I could have ever asked for

Megan made me feel very comfortable sharing things that I haven't shared with many before, and is a supportive and active listener. She helped me see parts of my life from new perspectives. I happily recommend Megan!
