About me

Hello! Welcome to BetterHelp! Seeking help is such an important first step in taking care of yourself and I'm so happy you're making that investment.

I am a graduate of The Ohio State University. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in social work in 2007 and my master's degree in social work in 2008. I have been working in the field of social work for the last 12 years. During this time, I have had the privilege of working with clients from many different backgrounds experiencing many different struggles. I began my career working in a partial hospitalization program providing counseling and psycho-education for clients diagnosed with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorders. I also have experience working with adolescents and their parents in their homes as well as in a community crisis center. However, the majority of my career has been spent focusing on the areas of aging and geriatrics, care-giving and caregiver stress, and family issues.

I believe counseling is most successful when there is a strong therapeutic relationship between counselor and client. I believe in taking a non judgmental approach where our sessions are a safe space to share. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy and client centered therapy in my practice. These are modalities that have been proven effective.

I look forward to working with you!
