About me

Hi, my name is Megan. I am a licensed mental health counselor in Indiana. I have been in the field for over ten years as a counselor, community advocate, and teacher. I am finishing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, and am excited to be a part of training the new field of therapists. I am also involved in training community organizations around the world in trauma-informed care and mental wellness.

I am most experienced with individuals who have experienced anxiety, depression, or relational issues connected to trauma. I approach therapy with an awareness that I have to build trust with you. Each of us has our own unique stories and those stories impact how we view ourselves, others, and the world. Therapy helps us to untangle some of the more difficult parts of our stories that keep us from living as fully as we could. My job is to create a safe place within our relationship for you to feel like you can be honest about your story and it's impact.

I am excited to connect with you on Better Help! I hope to be a support to you as you face some of those difficult parts of your journey. You are the expert of your life and your progress. I have some tools and skills that can encourage your mental wellness as we engage in this process together. I look forward to connecting!

Megan is great! I have been working with her for a few months now and she has helped me immensely with my relational troubles with family members. She is kind and compassionate and always helping me realize where my thoughts and emotions stem from. She has also proven time and time again that she stays current on psychology research, which is important to me. I highly recommend working with Megan!

Megan is very kind. She is an excellent doctor and fabulous listener. I receive understanding, compassion, guidance, from our conversations, and think of her as a close dear friend to my heart in gratitude for all the ways she has helped me heal and grow stronger and more self confident in all areas of my life, family and friends. She's very instinctually wise, and has an Angel's heart. I have become happier , more focused, and more communicative, in just a few months with Megan. Megan is my first therapist, and I really appreciate that after all my issues with trauma, I could find a therapist that works well with me toward my aim of self healing and evolution. Thank you Megan Flynn, you will always be in my heart, as the best doctor I ever found.

For the past year I was really overwhelmed, in pain and lost, not knowing what to do but just from talking with Megan I was able to work through a lot of the issues and I'm a lot better now and possibly better than I ever have been. She is amazing at being able to tell what is really wrong and dedicates time to understand you and find the best ways to help and not only that but she is very light hearted and brings joy into the video sessions even in the worst times.
