About Me

Greetings!
I'm a licensed mental health counselor in Washington State. Most of my experience has been working with those in both addictions and co-occurring mental health treatments. I am familiar with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and personality diagnoses/concerns. My clients are often struggling with abuse/neglect, relationship dysfunction, confidence and identity, as well as deep rooted trauma.
At my heart, I am a client centered therapist. I believe the client is the expert on his or her own life and I am not here to provide advice but to be the compassionate individual humbly given the privilege to walk with you for a short while, through some trying times in life. I may offer an unbiased response or another perspective, which may help you develop further insight into your situation.
Besides a client centered approach, I utilize an eclectic method, employing the intervention or technique I believe most fits the client. The therapeutic approaches I utilize the most are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I am IFS informed. I am always looking for new ways to support my clients and strengthen my therapeutic approach.

Megan has been warm and comforting. She understands the problems I'm currently facing and was able to offer me a different perspective on things and spreads good energy. She is really encouraging and have good tips in coping with anxiety and self-worth. Megan is great at getting to the root of the issue. She quickly identified the chief hangup in my life and shockingly, not in a negative way. She made it clear where the issue stems from, how that's been beneficial to me so far, and how changing the issue (into the opposite) will feel weird, but ultimately serve me better, both in the present and going forward. She's provided helpful assignments for me to be mindful of and especially being aware of the voice in my head that's unnecessarily critical. Really enjoyed my time and have lifelong goals from the sessions.

Really good therapist! I love the weekly skills that she shares. They are really important if one were to utilize the knowledge gained from the therapy on a long term basis.
