About Me
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile! The field of psychology and behavior has been my academic and career path for over 10 years. My work is my passion and I enjoy watching others grown and flourish on their paths.
I completed my Bachelors of Science in Psychology with concentrations in clinical rehabilitation and psychology of addictions in 2006 through Purdue University. While pursuing this degree, I aided in a longitudinal research study focused on intelligence and information processing through the Purdue Institute for Behavioral Sciences. While earning my Master’s, I volunteered for Riley’s Children Hospital as a behavior therapist with autistic children. During the same time, I also completed two practicums and internships (university setting and corrections), focusing my skills aiding adults with intense personal struggles and family dysfunction.
While working with adults, I found my passion in those struggling daily with emotional concerns and addictions. My Master of Arts in clinical psychology was completed in 2008 at University of Indianapolis with a concentration in mental health counseling. Since then, I have worked in outpatient as well as inpatient settings, while also teaching psychology part-time as adjunct faculty for a local college. Thank you again for taking the time to learn some history about me and I look forward to sharing more of what I have learned through experience with you on your journey.

I have been having therapy with Megan for months. Through the sessions, she has been providing me advices and activities in helping me with my PTSD and other stress factor that I have encounter. It is always pleasant talking to Megan over the video call and messages because she has been supportive and patient with listening the problems that I have. Thank you Megan for being there when I needed someone to understand how I felt when no one else could do so.
Megan is so knowledgeable about how to cope with strong emotions and how to view things from a logical perspective. She gives me a much-needed second opinion on important matters in my life and lends brilliant insights. She spots trends in and root causes for my behaviors that I would’ve never seen on my own!
Megan has been amazing!
I adore Megan. She always knows the right thing to say and, after trying traditional therapy, I so prefer working with her. I had my fist breakthrough last week and I think it’s all because of her support. She’s seriously the best- she’s to the point and compassionate all at once, and she brings her personal life into the discussion when relevant. She never challenges or pushes me, she just listens and helps. I can’t say enough good things about the therapy she’s given me and how much my disability has been mitigated with her help.
Excellent!
Megan Rockwood has been extremely supportive and helpful with dealing with mental health issues. She takes time to understand my history, goals, and current issues. She is also very personable and understanding. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking help in dealing with anxiety or other difficult issues.
Offers constructive ideas, and is compassionate. Very responsive to me, and checks in when she hasn't heard from me.
After years of counseling face to face...I find BetterHelp's model with the correspondence and availability and especially being match up with Megan Rockwood has provided me an avenue to self express at a much higher level and the communication is beyond all expectations....and Megan has helped me more in two weeks then in years of more traditional office visits. And Megan really listens and helps me take positive responsibilities for my own progress. Thank You, Megan!
She has been very helpful to me in my situation. I have figured a lot out in a shorter time than I thought possible with her help.
I really like Megan's therapy style. She definitely knows her specialties very well. I also like how open she is to different types of strategies and therapy techniques as well. I would recommend Megan to anybody who wanted counseling.
Megan is amazing and I highly recommend her.
