Megan Russell, LCSW
About me
Life can get overwhelming at times. Sometimes we face challenges in our careers that leave us feeling unfulfilled, or we experience friction in our relationships that leave us feeling isolated, while at other times we may struggle to love ourselves for the unique and wonderful beings that we are.
My goal as your therapist is to allow you to be heard and validated, while working toward the changes you would like to see occur in your own life. Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, we will identify solutions and practice skills that will allow you to resolve any challenges that you face.
I have been a licensed social worker in the state of Texas since 2018. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) with specialization in Mental health and substance use, from University of Texas at Arlington. I have worked in behavioral health throughout my career, although I have taken a brief adventure outside the field in 2020 to teach English language to high school students in Myanmar, Southeast Asia.
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, bipolar disorder, and depression. I am also a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and support diversity, inclusion, and equality.
You are the author of your story and you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you in life. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey!

Megan, has been accommodating, kind and wonderful in listening to my concerns and working with me. She provides a safe space for me to talk freely, and it's exactly what I need. I don't trust easily, but I trust her.
