About Me

Hi! I'm Megan and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I have been working as a therapist for 4.5 years with most of my experience in a community mental health clinic. With working in a community mental health clinic I have worked with a variety of ages, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This has also given me experience working with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, vocational issues, transitions in life, and family/relationship conflict. I also have experience with providing therapy online and through telehealth so this platform is familiar to me.

My therapeutic style is most importantly providing trust and empathy to build a strong therapeutic relationship. I know what it's like to look for a therapist of my own and to build that therapeutic relationship. So I know how important that bond needs to be (on both sides) for there to be progress in the growth you're looking to make.

My approach to therapy is a mixture of cognitive behavior therapy, humanistic (person-centered), motivational interviewing, paychodynamic, and solution-focused
therapy.

Everyone's experiences in life are different and it's important that you feel as if your experiences are important. I want you to have a genuine and authentic experience with a therapist and I hope that can be me.

I look forward to taking this therapeutic journey with you.

Megan has been great so far! We have set goals and talked about some important issues. I'm looking forward to continuing my therapy with her.

Megan asks the kind of questions that really makes you dive deep. It has only been a few weeks but I have hit a few “aha” moments already. She is compassionate.

I've been speaking with Megan for the last 4 weeks, and she has been lovely. She's a great listener, gives helpful feedback and I feel it has really helped me. The distance (i'm in the UK) hasn't been an issue at all, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

So far I have found Megan really helpful. It’s been good having her to message on a daily basis throughout the week. The resources that she has sent through have also made me understand what I’m going through better. I should mention that I am in Australia, but through messaging the distance between Australia and America does not seem very far at all. There is definitely still a professional connection and understanding.

Megan is a very empathetic and non judgemental counsellor, she’s great at lightening the mood when need be but also great at listening and encouraging as well.

Megan is a good listener and I feel like she asks questions that really make me think and challenge my assumptions on how things are. She's responsive to boundaries being set and collaborative on what we work on next.
