About me

My name is Melanie and I am a qualified counsellor based in England.
I have experience working with a range of presenting issues and can help you with:

- a difficult life event such as a relationship breakdown, bereavement, work/study related stress, trauma, health diagnosis, burn out.

- a mental health condition you or a loved one may have and be struggling to manage (anxiety and depression.)

- grief and loss, including sudden deaths/suicide bereavement, miscarriage, loss of a pet or job/home.

- difficult emotions, for example anger, guilt, shame, low self-esteem.

- exploring how past experiences may be resonating with you in the present day (unmet emotional needs, healing from the past, negative core beliefs.)

I am an integrative counsellor, this means I am trained in different therapeutic approaches and can draw from each approach to meet the needs of the individual person (for example: Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Mindfulness etc).

I am a warm and friendly counsellor offering a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings using an approach best suited to you and your individual needs.

I look forward to welcoming you.

Mel is such a grounding energy in my life. Her experience makes it easy for me to feel comfortable discussing basically anything. Very grateful for her ability to just hold space as well, when I need to talk things out.

I’ve tried therapy before and never really felt like it worked for me, but now I’ve found someone I feel comfortable to open up to and get the help I need. I feel heard, understood and respected. Even through we’re working through some heavy subjects I feel comfort in doing it with someone like Melanie that not only makes me feel calm but helps me sort out my thoughts. I look forward to continue getting the help I need. And it’s comforting knowing I have someone to speak to without being judged and also gives me better understand of myself.

Melanie is a true blessing. She helped me so much with handling my life choices and my anxiety. If you have the chance to pick her as your therapist, not choosing her would be the worst decision you could ever do.
