About me

Hello, my name is Melinda Meyers and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Thousand Oaks, CA. I have been licensed and in private practice for over 10 years. I earned my master degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles.

Seeking out help from a clinician is always the hardest step to take and finding the right clinician for you makes that step easier. I believe we all have the power to find the tools within ourselves to guide us toward a happy and fulfilling life, and I love to help my clients take their first steps toward their goals.

I work with my clients from a Humanistic Approach. Your personal worth, your value, creativity, and ability to overcome hardship, pain, and crisis in your life, is the center and most important aspect of my work. As a therapist I am there to help you find that value, creativity, and your ability to overcome issues in your life with guidance that works for you and in your life.

I look forward to working with you.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Melinda Meyers. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I think it is important to have a connection to your therapist, but at the same time, the therapist should build on that connection to provide real results. I have had a few therapists that listen and perhaps we have a connection, but I never felt I was really getting anywhere. And maybe some of that was on me by unwilling to share enough to get results. But with Melinda, I felt she understands my particular idiosyncrasies, get them and then each session builds on the next. I am not so much monologuing as understanding why I am the way I am. Accepting the flaws as is and then working on improving or taking flaws and minimizing them is what she has helped me do so far.

It has been a pretty gratifying experience and I appreciate her friendliness and professionalism in helping my psyche fix a few things I have picked up along the road of life. Just a little baggage that could be dropped, as well as helping to navigate in this discordant and rapidly evolving world we live in.

Melinda is a talented therapist and isn't afraid to tell it like it is ... something I think is missing with many other therapists these days. If you're ready to face some truths and work through them she's your person
