My background is rooted in physical fitness, competitive athletics and the field of Sport & Performance Psychology. I earned a PhD in Sport & Exercise Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and worked with competitive teams and athletes in the Mental Training Facility there. After dabbling in yoga and becoming a certified yoga instructor (ERYT-200) the mind body connection became more and more foundational to my teaching and my life. My interest in positive psychology and performance trickled into a passion for mental health (specializing in stress, anxiety, depression and trauma/PTSD). I returned to school while teaching at a private Christian University full time to get a second Masters degree in Counseling and Human Development to become an LPC. As I currently work with clients on an individual basis, hold workshops and seminars and use yoga, breathwork and mindfulness to improve lives and relationships I know I have found my true calling. Working in private practice the last three years I have helped couples, families, individuals and groups dealing with a wide range of issues from binge eating, abuse, trauma to navigating basic life transitions. I use a combinations of CBT, mind-body techniques/mindfulness and talk therapy with a person-centered approach. I believe in a holistic approach to mental health that includes physical, spiritual and emotional support.

She is the best! :)
Dr. Madeson is always on time for our appointments. If I do not see an available appointment on her schedule she will find time for me. I feel comfortable sending her updates between appointments. Dr. Madeson always responds.
I've had a couple therapists in person and always felt like I wasn't making progress. Dr. Madeson makes it a point to work on something every week and I can already see the positive changes in my mood and behavior.
It's so good to be heard.
Dr. Madeson is the best human being that I have ever met and she understand me in such a way that I feel that I’m talking to a relative or a friend. I strongly recommend her, she is the reason I had stayed with this app
I love her. She is helping me so much
Compassionate and dosen't make you feel worse for the problems you have. She meets you where you are.
Dr. Madeson has been a great help so far - I feel like she really hears what I'm saying even if I'm not great at explaining it and her recommendations have been great in helping me to relieve anxiety.
She is very nice to talk to and very approachable.
Very professional, kind and caring.
Dr. Madeson has been so beyond amazing and helps me become better each and every day. I am truly blessed to get to work with her as a counselor!
Dr. Madeson is an empathetic listener and a creative problem solver. She took the time to learn about me as a whole and uses that information to help. She remembers ongoing issues and brings things full circle by incorporating past issues we have resolved to provide context on current ones.
Dr. Madeson is very kind, patient, and understanding. She responds in a timely manner and is very direct. She listens to your concerns and addresses them by giving you effective methods to mitigate your struggles. Madeson has helped me gain control over my thoughts and emotions that have been preventing me from enjoying my life. I would highly recommend!
Dr. Madeson has always been beyond helpful in dealing with my depression and anxiety. She is an exceptional listener and helps me in ways more than she knows. She responds very quickly whenever I feel low and is just a message away. She is so genuine and compassionate towards my feelings! Thank you! ❤️
Dr. Madeson is patient, insightful and extremely helpful. I would (and have) recommend her to anyone seeking balance or a listening ear.
Dr. Madeson is extremely helpful. She is very kind and caring. Also, she gives excellent activities that are very helpful. She even checks on you through the week!

Dr. Madeson is wonderful. She was able to listen to the information I laid out for her and draw some very helpful conclusions as well as offer up coping techniques for me. She is very positive and listens carefully to details that I give! Highly recommend!
