Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Melissa Cooper. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I am incredibly grateful for the work I’ve done with Melissa Cooper. When I first began therapy, I was carrying trauma, deep grief from loss, and the complicated weight of gender dysphoria. I wasn’t sure how to even begin untangling all of that. Melissa created a space where I didn’t have to have the perfect words — I just had to show up honestly.
What stands out most is her ability to hold difficult emotions without rushing them. She has helped me process trauma at a pace that feels safe rather than overwhelming. With grief, she never minimizes the pain or tries to “fix” it — instead, she helps me make sense of it and carry it in a way that feels less crushing.
Addressing gender dysphoria has been one of the most vulnerable parts of my journey. Melissa approaches it with compassion, respect, and zero judgment. She helps me explore identity in a grounded way, without pressure or assumptions. I feel seen as a whole person — not reduced to one label or one struggle.
Therapy with Melissa has helped me build steadiness. I’m learning how to sit with emotions instead of being overtaken by them. I’m gaining language for experiences I used to bury. Most importantly, I feel supported in becoming more honest with myself.
If you are navigating trauma, loss, identity questions, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, I would strongly recommend Melissa Cooper. She offers a calm, thoughtful presence and a genuine commitment to her clients’ growth and well-being.

Melissa is an amazing and deeply considerate therapist. I’ve been working with her for almost a year now, and the difference between where I started and where I am today is honestly night and day!! She has this incredible ability to help me organize my thoughts, listen with real presence, and gently guide me to understand the root causes behind what I’m feeling. She can provide tough love when it's need but step back when she senses support is needed. I’ve grown so much mentally and emotionally during our time together, and I owe a huge part of that growth to Melissa’s insight and care.
