My name is Melissa Adrienne Jackson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. I am originally from the South Side of Chicago and utilize my life experiences and educational background to empower others to heal, live, and thrive. I have been serving my community for almost 20 years as a Social Worker. My passion is working with women that are navigating depression and looking for healing from their past. Whether you've experienced a trauma event, dealing with Depression, Anxiety, or going through a life transition with your career, relationships, or need support reaching your goals, I have the experience to help you achieve your goals, overcome these struggles, and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
My counseling style is holistic, and client centered. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, solution focused and existential theories. I am also trained in EMDR Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy. I truly believe the way we see, and the way we show up in the world is directly impacted by our experiences in life, and once we can identify the "why" we can begin to heal, increase our confidence and move foward. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
