Melissa Van Kooten , LCSW
About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker in Colorado. I have been in the field of social work for over 10 years working with adults, adolescents, children and families.
I believe that every individual is unique and there is not a one-size-fits-all answer or approach when it comes to therapy. I believe that the best outcomes are achieved through a strong therapeutic alliance and collaboration between the clinician and the client; the expert of their own life. I use a holistic approach when working with clients and offer safety, grounding, and gentle guidance through the process of reconnecting with your authentic self.
It takes courage to reach out for help. I look forward to walking with you in your personal journey toward healing.

Melissa has continually showed up to our sessions with patience, understanding and professionalism. Working through some tough times is so hard, but she motivates me to show up to sessions because I know that we’ll work through it together
