I have had at least twenty years of counseling experience. I prefer working through the tenets of Christian counseling, but am fine doing secular counseling. I have done individual, family and group work. I have worked inpatient and outpatient services as a substance abuse counselor. I have also worked with children who were wards of the State and had major behavioral issues as well as developmental and mental issues.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
LPC #15880 (Expires: 2021-04-30)
Mia is fantastic. Very warm and caring and really listens to what I am saying. She never makes me feel judged about what I am sharing with her. When I’ve been quiet for a few days she will touch base to check on me. I’d definitely recommend Mia.
Mia is an extremely good counselor. She understands what I talk about and comes with easy and applicable tips. She is so supportive and I felt better after one session with her. I deal with a lot of anxiety and when I had a pretty bad anxiety attack, I did a thing we talked about during a session and within 10 minutes I had the situation under control and I have never experienced that before because my anxiety attacks usually lasts for a pretty long time. I feel like I understand myself better than I ever have and it's all thanks to Mia's incredible guidance.
a very kind and thoughtful therapist
