About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker living in Florida with over 15 years of experience working as an individual, family and group therapist. I have worked with clients in a wide range of concerns including trauma, depression, anxiety, anger issues, parenting problems, relationship issues, OCD and ADHD. The majority of my work has been as an "in-home therapist" guiding children and parents as they overcome past abuse, neglect and grief/loss issues.
My counseling style is personable and engaging. I am non-judgmental and hold unconditional positive regard for all. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectal behavioral, psychodynamic and trauma-focused therapies . I will collaborate to discover what type of counseling will benefit you the most. Staying on task by developing interventions to achieve your goal is central to overcoming any challenges.
It is an honor and privilege to work with everyone as they start the tough, but rewarding journey to achieve a more joyful and happier life.

Michael is hands down the best therapist I’ve tried. He is attentive with his listening and engages to let you know he’s understanding you. He comes up with systems and coping mechanisms that work for me specifically, that have really changed my day to day.

Michael is special. He takes an approach with therapy that is unconditionally supportive and kind, even when it is probably very justified for him to feel differently. His approach is impactful in a unique way. I’ve had a lot of therapists more or less give up on me in the past when I’m unreliable about keeping appointments (which is an interesting paradox, given those were the same mental health professionals that should have known at least something about depression/anxiety and avoidance). Michael finds ways to still connect and deliver powerful, helpful, and effective advice even when you are struggling with what can feel like the simplest of things… just showing up. I’m really grateful to have met him.
