About me

I have worked in the field of Mental Health Counseling for over 20 years and have extensive experience working with adults, families, adolescents and children. I received much of my clinical training and experience working in inpatient hospital, residential treatment and outpatient treatment settings. During that time I held a variety of professional positions, received quality supervision and completed my Masters Degree in Community Counseling.
I founded an outpatient clinic, Forward Choices, in order to create opportunities to better serve the mental health needs of local families, children and adolescents. As a small community clinic, we are better able to focus our attention according to your best interests and individual needs. I also find that when in person counseling services are not available, the use of current technology (typed messaging, video on-line live chat and phone consultation) can aid in the generation of a highly effective and beneficial counseling experience.
I have found it to be rewarding to witness the progress of the clientele that counseling. During my own free time I take time to immerse my self in individual hobbies of automobile restoration, cooking, personal study, exercise and engagement in wellness activities.

I was very leary to start counseling as a whole when my coworker recommended this company. I am so grateful for the recommendation and have recommended y'all as well. My counselor has been a key to helping me over the last few weeks and I will keep utilizing him for as long as I need. He has come up with some of the best techniques that are retraining my mind and teaching me how to cope with circumstances I normally would not be able too. Because of this outlet I have found myself smiling more and seeing so much good around me that I would not have seen in the past.
