My name is Michal (me-kel) Collier and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I have worked with individuals, couples and families seeking counseling for 19 years, via online, at various mental health agencies and in my private practice. I started my private practice, One Affinity to serve as an resource for individuals from all walks of life to have access to quality mental healthcare. Our staff has 18 years of experience working with youth, families, adults, and groups, and has collaborated with various mental health agencies. We implement current and effective therapeutic approaches to address the needs of all clients served. Our sole purpose at One Affinity is to provide healing through counseling by catering to the unique needs of each individual served.

I have only had 2 sessions so far but already feel comfortable opening up with her. She takes on board everything we have discussed and offers me ways to help me acknowledge and potentially overcome the issues at hand.

Michal is wonderful! She listens actively and asks me the right questions to help me better understand the root of what I'm feeling.
Michal is amazing. Just after one session, I already felt an improvement in myself. She listens attentively and makes me comfortable to talk about anything. She provides exactly what I need, which is structure. Every week, she gives me a relevant worksheet that helps me work through certain feelings and thoughts. She offers a variety of methods to use when I start feeling anxious or angry. She fosters continual improvement outside of the session, which I feel is sometimes hard to find in a therapist. I love that after a session, I feel better emotionally, physically, and mentally. And then, I use her advice and worksheets to carry that positivity into the rest of the week. I always look forward to our sessions.

I love Michal! She is the 11th therapist I have tried therapy with and I was very close to giving up, but 10 minutes into the first session I already knew she is the right one. I finish every session with her happy and high for a few hours, and I feel the progress also without the painful digging in the past and uncomfortable topics. The talks with her are so pleasant and her smile is contagious. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to do therapy with her.

I find she is compassionate, and intuitive to what needs to be addressed. She knows exactly how to pin point certain areas in your life that you need to focus on. I have been with her for a month now, and I feel that I am making a lot of progress in her presence. She is very encouraging, she knows how to build you up, so that you may be the best person you can be. I appreciate her worksheets, she will always try to give you some homework of reflection. I would recommend Michal 100%. I am excited to see what more I will discover about myself, with the guidance from Michal.
