About Me
Hi, and welcome :) I am Michele, an Ohio transplant originally from Pennsylvania. I graduated from John Carroll University in 2008 with an MA in Community Counseling. I am licensed in the state of Ohio as an Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and as a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor-- with a Counseling Supervisor designation. I also hold independent mental health counseling licenses in the states of Michigan, and Kansas. I have been providing counseling services since 2001 in a variety of settings including inpatient mental health, residential substance abuse, private practice, dual diagnosis, and most recently Employee Assistance Counseling. I have worked with a wide age rage of clients with my youngest being 3 and spanning into late adulthood. I have worked with a variety of issues including depression, anger, self-esteem, anxiety, substance abuse, work stress, parental guidance, offending behaviors, etc. I have a special interest in helping those who are dealing with grief after a loved one has completed suicide.
I like to meet people where they are at and help them develop the skills they need to in order to feel better or be well. I have been described by colleagues as " having an uncanny ability to think outside the box to meet people where they are at without judgement." I utilize cognitive behavioral techniques, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidenced based practices, but overall i listen and help where help is needed and wanted. Choosing a counselor is often times a hard task to accomplish, I am truly grateful when someone chooses to trust me to guide them on their personal journey.
When I'm not helping others, i enjoy reading, writing, and being creative. I'm a mom to two boys who are always on the go and an avid bargain\
flea market hunter. My family and I enjoy home improvement, and are sometimes actually pretty good at it :) I like to have fun, make people laugh, and just enjoy the moments. I look forward to getting to know you better and potentially helping you achieve your goals.

A+
Michele is remarkable, always meets me where I need to start & leads me to better choices & thoughts.
Thank you Michele!
I started working with Michelle through a different platform provided by my work. She stopped working for them, and I followed her over to BetterHelp. She is lovely and has really helped me.
Michele helps me immensely. She helps me put things into perspective, find ways to calm my anxiety, and gives me things to work on each week to better myself. She has really helped me better myself!
Michele is great! She’s good at listening and discerning things you can’t see from your own perspective while gently pushing you to dig deeper and move forward when you’re ready. I appreciate that I feel comfortable and that I can trust her even without having met in person.
Michele is an amazing counselor who listens and gives me customized advice. Plus a little humor along the way which helps!
She’s awesome
excellent person great therapist
Michele is a breath of fresh air. She listened to my concerns with previous counselors and has gone above and beyond to be responsive and considerate. I feel supported and like we are working towards my health goals. Would highly recommend!
Michele is an outstanding counselor, and any client would be lucky to work with her.
Having been one of her clients in the pre-pandemic world, through in person counseling, I am very pleased to be able to work with her through this platform.
I cannot praise Michele’s skill, care, and support enough.
Very awesome and easy to talk too. Like a big sister I never had.
She listens, she coaches, and is generally there with you, not for you, during sessions. She works just as hard as you do in sessions and is willing to find ideas, methods, and techniques you haven't yet considered.
I really enjoy Michele's style. She uses humor and investigative questions. Her questions have helped me to find answers to issues I was having without someone telling me what to do or judging me.
Michelle is great - I haven't been working with her long, but I feel like I've already benefited from working with her.
Michele has been very helpful and I appreciate her perspective.
Michele has been helpful.
She is very supportive and gets back to me quickly! We are working on my issues!
I love how she works. She is very funny which makes this so much easier for me. She doesn't put to much pressure on you, but she sure guides you in the right direction.
Michele is very kind and generally wants to help. She doesn't make you feel helpless or irrational and tries to interact the best way she can over the web. She makes me at least feel less alone in what I'm going through.
