With a specialism in neuropsychology, I offer a personalised approach to integrating a variety of therapeutic modalities, as no one therapy fits all, and you are unique (Polyvagal, somatic, and trauma-informed therapy, ACT, Mindfulness, spiritual presence).

I believe that you are the expert of your mind, body and that you have many strengths that will assist you during your therapeutic journey. To heal from life's challenges and adverse experiences, it takes courage to seek out a therapeutic path with a therapist who can guide you on this journey. I have the commitment, expertise, and most importantly a non-judgemental and accepting manner, to ensure you and I can work effectively together.

In our journey we bring with us our childhood experiences and entering adulthood seeking therapeutic insight into improving relationship issues, finding direction and purpose in life, such as our self identity, inner presence, career and partner choices. And through our journey we adapt to the stresses of life, but at times it can be overwhelming with the transition into different phases of childhood and early adulthood, choices we make in our career path, family life, pets, relationships.

Fast forward and how did we get here so quickly, transitions and our journey with aging, health issues, loss and crossroad decisions. What ever you bring to our sessions, I provide a non judgemental and accepting lens and a toolkit of new insights into self, your relationships and your place in the world.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Michelle Courtney. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I have only had a few sessions with Michelle and she is fabulous. She asks me the right questions so I can open up about my struggles and is able to guide me to make improvements before our next meeting. I feel that Betterhelp have matched me perfectly with a therpist who has the right experience and knowledge for my needs.

Michelle has been my therapist now for just over 1 year and all I can say is she is a credit to the industry. Her knowledge in her field is exemplary. She has a warmth that is very welcoming and is incredibly genuine and honest. With her guidance using Polyvagal Theory, I have improved my interpersonal relationships and have a greater understanding of myself. A mind and body connection that I didn’t know existed until I met Michelle.
