Michelle Cunningham Harrell, LMHC
About me
There is value, beauty, and strength in self-discovery. Throughout life we have the tremendous opportunity to meet new fascinating parts of ourselves. Some of the parts, however, can bring about unfamiliar emotions that may cause periods of anxiety, depression, anger or just plain confusion. During these uncomfortable periods supportive guidance, a safe environment, and a mirror to clearly see yourself and how your actions impact both yourself and others is essential. To better navigate your journey into self-awareness, I will be your mirror.
My name is Michelle Harrell, I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and have 3+ years of therapy experience. I graduated from Columbia University with two Masters to help me provide the best support and therapy possible and to be able to customize it to your individual needs. Together we will explore new changing versions of your identity that may unlock for you a world of possibilities. Drawing from Feminist Therapy and using various techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existentialism, and new age Psychodynamic therapy we will discover, together, your core belief system and uncover your truths through incidences of your past, present, and hopes for your future.
It is everyone’s right to have the opportunity to know their own minds regardless of culture, orientation, gender or identity. I would be honored to journey with you in that self-discovery.
