I am a professional counselor, certified executive, and health coach. I have nine years of experience helping others overcome challenges and create purposeful, meaningful lives. I have worked with clients with various concerns, including chronic pain, chronic illness, stress, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, family problems, and career challenges. Many individuals I have worked with have had traumatic experiences.
As a counselor and coach, one of my greatest strengths includes noticing and appreciating each person's unique characteristics. I do not treat everyone using the same approach because each person's response to stress, motivation to change, decision-making, relationship building, and thinking styles are unique. As a result, I customize my approach accordingly. I draw from my extensive training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Neuroscience, Motivational Interviewing, Positive (Strengths-based) Psychology, Mind-Body Medicine, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to draw out the best in you.
I view the therapeutic environment as a safe place to explore relationships, whether those relationships are with people (family, co-workers, partner) or things (food, money, alcohol). I also believe an important part of therapy is addressing the social, economic, and cultural influences on a person and that the process of therapy should be a collaborative one, with the client seen as the “expert” on their life.
It takes great courage to take the first steps toward change, seek a more fulfilling and happier life, and determine your personal goals. But, if you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you on this journey to create your best life.
I look forward to working with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Michelle Davis. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Love, love, love Dr. Davis!!! She's such an incredible person who genuinely vests in the well-being of her clients and matches her words with her actions. She's reached out to me when I became financially pinched and paused my subscription, though she wasn't obligated at the time. She responds to any communications, gets to know you as a person, and has the psychological knowledge to read your moods and behaviors during sessions to help you through any situations or events you could be going through at the time. I've always felt safe during our sessions and left every session feeling as though a small load has been relieved from my shoulders. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Davis to anyone I know!
Dr. Davis has been phenomenal in addressing my anxiety, both in the actual healing and also in the understanding of what caused me to develop these thought patterns. I feel like I finally have the tools to heal myself and the coaching to be successful quickly. While I was skeptical in virtual therapy at first, she's proven to be the solution I needed!
Dr. Davis is such a kind and intelligent woman and I am lucky to have been matched with her as my therapist. The work we are doing has been so helpful in my personal life and I feel that we have become friends who share genuine interest in what is going on in each other’s lives. She has helped me through some really tough times and even though I am through the toughest of times I still have lots of doubts about myself that she is helping me address and combat. She is a wonderful woman and amazing therapist and I really cherish our relationship together.
Dr. Davis is truly a godsend! She knows exactly what to say when I don’t. She understands me! She is already helping me in so many ways. I can’t wait to see where I am mentally in the coming months thanks to her!
I have never had someone understand me or my concerns as well as Dr. Davis. She listens to me and offers me a safe environment to grow. She's incredibly intelligent and has a great ability to help me work through very challenging situations. She is an amazing therapist.
I have found Dr. Davis to be a great listener and zeros in on what my issues are and how best to help me through them.
Dr Davis is very helpful, and her experience offers insight in many areas including career, family and self care.
Dr. Davis is a wonderful listener and respectful of one’s choices and attitudes. She has helped me process stressful situations and given techniques to help me handle the next situation. Not pushy or judgmental, just a great therapist who cares about her clients.
I joined betterhelp as way to give myself the gift of an outside perspective into my life and mental health. I am grateful that betterhelp gave me the opportunity to find a good fit for my needs. In doing so, I was able to find Dr. Michelle Davis who complements my style and approach perfectly. She is the ultimate professional, full of knowledge, compassion, wisdom, and an earnest desire to help me help myself. She is a gift, and I am so grateful that she is part of betterhelp!
She’s wonderful, Dr. Davis is really here for her people and really goes above and beyond. I greatly appreciate her and really get a lot out of the experience. She’s really easy to talk to and all around pleasant.
I feel very fortunate in having Dr Davis as my therapist. She is experienced and validating. She listens, coaches and gives very sound advice.. I am a better person in the world today.
I love how she pays attention and gives me ways to cope and encouraging words and resources.
She's been great so far. I'm a long way from getting better, but I feel like if anyone can help me, she can.
Michelle is amazing. She responds quickly and goes above and beyond to take care of my needs.
Dr. Davis is great at her job. Very friendly and makes you feel heard! I never believed in online therapy until my first session with Dr. Davis.
She has made me very comfortable from the beginning. I have trust in her.
Dr. Davis is a very understanding and intelligent professional. I appreciate how kind and supportive she is and hope to make great progress alongside her guidance.
From the first video chat, I knew Dr. Davis was going to be able to reach me on a level my other therapist could not. She has taken my ideas into consideration when taking the approach to therapy. I look forward to many more sessions with Dr. Davis and certainly recommend for anyone looking for a connection that involved being real, honest, and straight forward! I love it!
I had never been to any kind of therapy before connecting with Dr. Davis, so I was very nervous. But let me tell you, she is wonderful. She really listens and understands and helps you think about things in a whole new way.
Dr. Davis is AMAZING! I feel strongly supported, she listens attentively, provides good feedback relating to me and what could be best for me, she takes notes and takes the time to remember few details. I love my experience with her. I would recommend her 1000000000000/100. Super happy and satisfied.
Dr. Michelle Davis has a heart and spirit of compassion. Her energy is one of a kind which makes it possible for her to listen and absorb then interpret my thoughts and make them make sense. I am grateful for our connection at such a hard time in my life.
Amazing therapist, amazing person overall. I only spoke with her for about 20 mins, and she was upfront and honest about the type of therapist I would need and be best for my situation in order to be successfull and grow in therapy. She is very kind, gracious, and intuitive to peoples needs and genuinly cares about the outcome of her patients is what I got from our brief session and that should speak volumes. I would highly recommend her and you'd be lucky to have her
