About me

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in North Carolina and a licensed professional counselor in South Carolina, as well as a nationally board-certified counselor. I have over 7 years of experience and have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and coping with life transitions. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and collaborative. I believe empathy, sensitivity, compassion, and respect are essential to establishing a safe and trusting working relationship with my clients. I will not impose my values on you, and will be open to learning about your values, morals, and cultural practices. My approach to counseling is most heavily influenced by Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Attachment, Existential, and Grief and Loss models. I also incorporate mindfulness practices to foster self-awareness, growth and healing. I believe that anyone can overcome the challenges they encounter in life and I will work to assist you in creating positive solutions to discover more freedom and self-direction in your life.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!
