Michelle Wygant, LPC
About me
Hi, I’m Michelle, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 14 years of experience providing outpatient therapy to children, teens, adults, and families. I also have 5 years of experience supervising counseling interns and master’s-level clinicians. I earned my Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Slippery Rock University and my Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from Liberty University. My training and experience have given me a strong clinical foundation and a deep respect for the courage it takes to seek support.
I specialize in grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, postpartum challenges, parenting stress, and major life transitions. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and evidence-based grief treatment across the lifespan.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from person-centered therapy, CBT, and solution-focused strategies to help you better understand your thoughts and emotions, build practical coping tools, and move toward meaningful change. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, heard, and supported without judgment.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to shift, I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we can create a space where healing, growth, and renewed confidence are possible.
