Hi there! My name is Mimi Akhand and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, with years of work with individuals, couples, and families. I use a strength based, warm but also direct approach. I pull from different models, depending on what my clients’ needs are. My main focus in modalities is cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused and motivational interviewing.
I cover many areas, including anger management, anxiety, depression, life changes, relationship issues, and trauma. Please feel free to ask if I address your needs.
