Hi! I am a LCSW with 4 years of therapy experience. I have worked in several areas of expertise including depression, anxiety, stress management, addictions, trauma, parenting, relationships, domestic violence, and communication and boundaries. I take a client centered, strengths based, approach when meeting with patients, focusing on solutions as well as hidden strengths, resources, and individuals' areas of concern. I come from a community mental health background, in which I learned to identify immediate needs, collaboratively care plan with the patient, and work at the patient's pace. I use person-first language and focus on how people have survived and overcome obstacles. I have experience specifically with domestic violence issues, working with perpetrators of domestic violence as well as focusing on communication and boundary issues in relationships. Each patient is unique, and I will tailor my approach to best meet your needs.

Working with Miranda has been great. She has been professional and extremely validating, and has helped me to unpack my emotions in the ways that they naturally occur to me. In addition, she’s very easy to talk to.

Miranda was patient right from the start with me-I had scheduling issues.-often!! She is very caring and calm. Miranda provided me with materials to work with outside of session times-she did not pressure you-she will take you where/how you showed up (if you are a mess emotionally and want to be on the phone and talk about the now vs the direction sessions had been going?!) She goes right with it. I would recommend Miranda. I’m learning to like the zoom concept but right now I need some in-person sessions, too.

Miranda has be absolutely wonderful in helping me sort through some of my issues at hand. We worked together at a pace that suited me. I have learnt some skills I had never learnt in 10 years of in person therapy and they worked so so well! Miranda ensured I felt validated and understood and always took the time to reply to my concerns and even just general feedback on my day. Miranda took an interest in everything I said and I could really tell she put effort into her replies. Miranda was extremely quick at replying on the live sessions, meaning we covered a lot. I have learnt so much that I will take away with me and I have no doubt that if I need to return in the future it’ll be with Miranda.

Miranda immediately got me in the right direction if figuring out where to begin on day one and always helped me steer the conversation in the right direction. It almost made me feel silly for not figuring out myself but that just goes to show how helpful Miranda was during our sessions. I'm convinced if I need further therapy, she's the first option on my mind to go to
