Miriam Berry
About me
I have experience in helping clients with many issues and we can discuss your needs and whether I can meet them in our first session.
My areas of particular interest are LGBTQ issues, neurodiversity, chronic illness, and parent/adult child relationships.
Taking the first step into therapy can be scary, and I would be pleased to help you navigate your way along this journey.
The best indicator of a good outcome in therapy is the quality of relationship between a therapist and client. Let's meet and see if we can work well together.
Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
I am psychodynamically trained which means that in our work together we will look at your behaviours and relationships now and how they may have been affected by your experiences in your early years. We often create patterns in relationships and how we see ourselves in relation to the world when we are very young. Understanding this can help us to become conscious of why we do what we do now. We can then make a choice as to whether to continue that behaviour or make a change.
I am a qualified, insured psychotherapist/counsellor and a registered member of the BACP.

Really enjoying my sessions with Miriam. It’s like a weight has been lifted every time we speak, she has really helped me understand myself more and made me feel a lot better and has helped me not be so hard on myself. I would recommend Miriam 10 times over. I really appreciate her time and expertise x

I have only had two sessions to date, and I am very happy to have found her. She listens and just seems to get me. So far she has been gently and helpful, not pushing me but encouraging and offering helpful advice.
