Hello there! I run a virtual private practice serving clients across Pennsylvania, called Counseling Sphere LLC. You can learn more about me on www.counselingsphere.com or on Psychology Today under Molly St. Cyr. Please also feel free to explore specifics about my style and approach on my business instagram page: @counselingsphere.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania with over 8 years of experience working as a therapist in various settings. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief & loss, and family conflict... all of which are often rooted in unresolved trauma. I spent a chunk of my career specializing in helping clients who have experienced both chronic (long lasting) and acute (single incident) trauma. Let's chat more about how past experiences might be impacting you!
I recognize the importance of treating the whole person: body, mind, heart and spirit within your unique context. My approach to counseling centers around my relationship with you. Clients can expect to be greeted by a friendly face paired with a professional demeanor and flexible attitude. I have found it most beneficial to integrate different therapy techniques/interventions based on the needs of the client.
My job as a therapist is to empower growth and hold space for clients in vulnerable moments. The first few therapy sessions with a client are centered around information gathering, where I'm taking a thorough history of past and presenting concerns. Clients can expect thought-provoking questions which help them build new insights and themes. Ultimately a colorful picture is painted that illuminates how the client would like to move forward and where they'd like to see themselves. If you are ready to work together to create a healing path forward, you’re in the right place. It's an honor to walk alongside clients during some of their most vulnerable and empowering moments.
Additional areas of focus: Family conflicts, Grief, Intimacy-related issues, Parenting issues, Anger management, Career difficulties, Depression
Clinical approaches: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy

Molly is a great therapist. She is affirming, kind, and receptive. She listens without judgement and gives great introspection into my concerns and issues. I feel that I have grown as a person with her help.

Molly made me feel seen, heard, and made my first experience with therapy easier than I expected. She’s a light and really helps to dig deep in conversation. Molly allowed me to discover parts of myself I didn’t know existed. I looked forward to my session with her each week because I knew I’d feel safe, comforted, and I’d always leave with a greater sense of peace and clarity. I would recommend Molly to anyone in Pennsylvania, I only wish she could be my therapist out of state too.

I highly recommend Molly - she is a great therapist. She understands my goals and restrictions and comes up with different ideas for me based on my crazy schedule. A large part of my anxiety stems from lack of time in my schedule and she was able to give me recommendations that helped me without triggering that, which was really important for me to be able to work on myself.
