Monique Bivins, LPC
About me
Hello and Welcome! I am so glad that you are here! My name is Monique Bivins. I have a Master's degree in Community Counseling. I have been a therapist for 15 years and it is indeed one of the greatest joys of my life! I have also been a Licensed counselor in the state of Pennsylvania for 10 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family difficulties, Major life changes, low self-esteem, loss, wellness and trauma. I am very passionate about helping individuals become the best version of themselves and successfully navigate everyday life. I recognize that at times life presents challenges that make it difficult to accomplish this goal alone. It is true, sometimes we all just need a little help! And contrary to how society makes us feel, I want you to know that IT IS OK TO GET HELP! Acknowledging that you need help does NOT make you weak, in fact I believe that it makes you courageous and strong! So, I applaud you for taking such a huge step to connect with me here on this platform! I would love to work with you to help you identify practical approaches to overcome the obstacles in your life. I will strive to present a relationship opportunity that causes you to feel heard, understood and respected, no matter what you say! My approach to therapy is very interactive and collaborative, so I am very much looking forward to getting to know you, learning how I can help you and working with you to build this counseling experience into exactly what you need it to be!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Monique Bivins. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Monique is empathetic and supportive, but more important, she almost always provides a different perspective about things. This often helps me identify opportunities for improvement in my relationships/life and helps me look at things more positively. Now that we are getting better acquainted, she is beginning to understand my go-to patterns of thinking, and she helps me become aware of the ones that don't serve me and replace them with more effective behaviors. Overall, working with Monique has been so helpful for my continued work on myself.

Monique has a wonderful, warm sense about her. She is a great listener and draws from her experience and poses great questions that provoke thoughtful moments. Monique provides quality Therapy sessions to help move the ball forward in life rather than standing still in potentially unhealthy situations. Thank you Monique!

Monique was incredible in helping me cope with the loss of a close friend from high school. She provided an environment where I could talk about my relationship with him and how to handle this heavy emotional toll. She is truly a superhero! I would strongly recommend working with Monique for anyone who needs counseling!
