I am a licensed professional counselor in Texas with over 16 years experience. I have a master's degree in psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and extensive doctoral-level coursework with Capella University. I have been licensed in the state of Texas as an LPC for over 13 years and I am board-certified to provide supervision for people working on their licensure.
I have extensive experience working with a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, parenting problems, anger management, relationship issues, and adjustment difficulties. I have had the opportunity to work with persons diagnosed with more serious mental health problems, as well, including Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and Schizophrenia. I have worked with persons with intellectual disabilities and I also have extensive experience with people who have experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse.
I would characterize my counseling style as accepting and practical. I believe that you deserve to be treated with respect and understanding and that we all need help from time to time. I believe that my role as therapist is to help you function more effectively in your life and manage the thoughts and emotions that might be a hindrance for you. My approach combines ideas from humanistic theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy, existential theory, and solution-focused therapy. I believe that counseling is a collaborative process and that you and I will develop a dialog and treatment plan that will help us meet your needs.
You are taking one of the biggest and most difficult steps in self-care; asking for help. I commend you for that because I know how hard it can be. I hope to be a part of your process of healing and self-growth. I look forward to that opportunity.

Very keen listener and tailors the session very well to the individual.
Me Jackson has been very professional with the care he provides.
I have been able to work through several different issues.
I've been working with Morgan for 3 months and I couldn't be happier with the results! Morgan listens and pushes you to become the better version of yourself. He is genuinely interested in your well being and goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable sharing your feelings. Thank you Morgan!
Very respectful and listens and offers great ideas
I enjoy talking with Morgan. He’s easy to talk to and he gives positive feedback for getting positive results in behavioral challenges or redirections. It’s been helpful for me to visit with him!
In the first two sessions Morgan has given me ways to counter my problems and a new mindset to move forward with. He is very accessible and a great guy. Highly recommend.
Since I started my therapy I’ve greatly improved. Morgan has helped me understand how my brain works and helps me be more confident.
Morgan has done an amazing job helping me work through many issues. Childhood trauma, relationship troubles and workplace stress. He asks the right questions that help me think and work through what is going on. He has been incredibly supportive and is a great listener. I'm glad I reached out to BetterHelp.
