Moskula "Monica" Kypreos, LMFT
About me
I am a psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience working with couples and individuals dealing with life's struggles. I believe that people have the answers to their problems and my role is to help them discover them. I work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, as well as relationship issues, infidelity, and separation. I use a variety of modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Polyvagal Theory.
Starting therapy takes courage as you are facing your shortcomings and challenging yourself to grow. My clients have my respect and admiration for taking this leap of faith for a better future.
I was born in Kalymnos Greece and my whole family immigrated to the United States when I was nine years old. I am able to see how culture shapes our decisions and responses to our problems. This an added dimension that I bring to my Therapy practice. Over the years, I have worked with clients that spoke only Greek as well as bilingual individuals. Clients from various other cultures have sought me out because they feel I get their multicultural perspective and struggle to fit in the American experiment.
