Natasha Dedijer-Turner

(MEd, EdS, LPC)

About Me

I have over 17 years experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in various settings: private practice, psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, domestic violence shelters, forensic facilities and advocacy centers. I was qualified as an expert witness in trauma and abuse in several metro Atlanta counties and conducted over 300 forensic interviews. I served over 10 years as an Executive Board Member on the State of Georgia Sexual Offender Registration Review Board (SORRB) and published on various mental health topics. I also taught psychology at the undergraduate level and conducted workshops on relationship issues, parenting skills, stress management and mandated reporting.

I received my BA from Emory University and both my M.Ed and Ed.S from the University of Florida. I have worked in the mental health field for over 23 years-17 years as a LPC. I am also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) candidate.

I approach counseling as a relationship in which clients are experts of their own lives. My job is to meet clients where they are now, help set realistic goals and achieve them. Along the way I hope to learn more about my clients so I can identify strategies that would be most useful in daily life. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral (CBT), solution focused (SFT) and rational emotive behavior (REBT) therapies. Building upon strengths, together we will work to change a situation that no longer works so you can live your best life.

I look forward to working with you.

Natasha is a great counselor and really listens to my needs. Not just what I say but what I am not saying. Her advice and expertise has greatly impacted my life and I look forward to continuously working with her to strengthen my mental health!

I have reviewed Natasha before, but again I can't say enough about how thankful I am for her and her expertise. She has guided me through the worst season of my life and I'm so much happier, and thinking clearer, straighter---- all because of her and her strategies. She has helped me make sense of everything :) I appreciate her so much!

I like working with Natasha. She sends me handouts that help, she helps with my primary concerns and if there's an issue in my life that I need to talk about she's ready to help me talk through it.

She does a lot to get to the root of your problem and helps you to correctly see your past, present, and future in a way that will be most beneficial to you. She’s a blessing.

Natasha has been dedicated to helping me be at peace and has provided me with so many resources to practice self-care as well as opportunities to rewire my thoughts to help me become a better version of myself. She listens to all my needs and provides a safe environment to speak whatever is on my mind! =)

Natasha has been terrific so far. We’ve had one video call and had many text messages. I have found her to be incredibly empathetic, flexible and understanding. She is helping me write very realistic goals for my treatment as she very clearly understands that’s what I need right now . I am really enjoying working with Natasha and am looking forward to more sessions.
