I am Natasha Jones Kinto (Lumbee) and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate in the state of North Carolina. I am also a National Board Certified Counselor. I completed my Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke in May 2017. I have over three years of clinical experience in individual and group therapy.
I received a fellowship award to study addictions and to provide culturally competent counseling services for underserved populations. I have experience working with college students, young adults, adults and elders.
My theoretical orientation is Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). I utilize a trauma-informed approach as well as Motivational Interviewing (MI) principles. My techniques focus on the client’s motivation to change, their irrational thoughts and effects on behavior.
I am person-centered and passionate about service to others. I have a biopsychosocialspiritual perspective to wellness that includes a holistic therapy style. My goal is to provide my clients with the tools that they need to live a balanced life.

Natasha in all sincerity, in the epitome of what I needed in this season. She is empathetic, an active listener, and willing to work through hard conversations. She adjust to what I need and the type of support that I need. After a short time, she has helped me recognize things in myself that I didn’t see, made me realize my strength, and given me the confidence to make changes in my life. I can’t recommend her more.

Natasha is an absolute gem. From day one, she has helped me identify and problem solve areas for growth. The homework assignments are not busy work, but more of a thoughtful reflection that she can then utilize to facilitate the next conversation. You want Natasha in your corner. 10/10 would recommend.

Natasha is a wonderful therapist! She really empathizes with you and understands your problem and/or point of view. She gives great therapy "homework" which allows you to do some self work outside of your session. I'd definitely recommend her to others seeking support.
