About me

Hey there. I am Dr. Nathan Miller, a psychologist licensed in the state of Texas. The road of my life has taken me all over the country and a little ways beyond, but my education has been focused on understanding and helping people. I believe that there is nothing more fulfilling than making a connection that costs us a little bit of vulnerability but leaves both of us feeling a brighter sense of hope. I also believe that our agency can carry us out of whatever rut that other forces might have left us in and that persisting in simple changes can help us get unstuck.

My approach to therapy melds aspects of the various approaches that I have studied, including a client-centered platform, techniques from CBT, DBT, IPT, Gestalt, and Existential therapies, and a healthy dose of non-judgmental compassion. This means that much of our work will consist of coming to understand how the physical, mental, emotional, and social parts of you interact and often conflict with one another, then helping them learn how to better cooperate.

I am experienced in working with concerns such as anxiety disorders, depression, various forms of trauma, men's issues, family conflict, low motivation, and many others. Wherever you are in your struggle, deep in the middle of it or just beginning the journey, there is much to be proud of and reason to feel hope.

Give me an opportunity to help you see yourself more clearly!
