Dr. Natosha Monroe, LPC, LMHC
About me
I consider it an honor to be in this profession helping people! I am licensed in Texas and I have over 20 years of professional work experience in the field of psychology/behavioral health to include unique places like Haiti, Ghana, Peru, the FBI Headquarters, and the Pentagon.
Over the past 8 years I've dedicated the majority of my career to supporting clients through therapy sessions and also teaching psychology at the collegiate level. Currently I precept medical professionals as they learn about psychotherapy in their final clinical experiences.
I most enjoy working with clients who have anxiety- and trauma-related symptoms because this is the area of my expertise. Due to my background in international humanitarian work, living abroad, military service, and research of immigration experiences, I feel I'm able to especially support clients who are Veterans, expats, and immigrants who have experiences that may be difficult to explain to therapists without this background.
I also have experience supporting the LGBTQ+ community to include transgender clients' life and medical transitions and I greatly respect and acknowledge their unique stressors within our given social setting.
I love working with clients to remind them of just how amazing they are, despite whatever challenges are standing in their way or who has ever told them otherwise. There is a lot going on around us that can make this a very difficult time and space. But there is definitely still joy, peace, and fulfillment to be found! Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage and I am here to provide support in that process.

I am going through an extremely tough time and Natosha’s support has been crucial to my getting through it. I have gone to therapy before, but have often left sessions feeling like I didn’t get much from it. I leave every session with Natosha feeling like I have more tools and new thought patterns to get me through. I love being able to message her in the moment. Even if she doesn’t respond immediately, it’s so helpful to be able to send messages when I’m actually feeling the feelings.
