Hello, and thanks for wanting to learn more about me. My name is Neville Harson, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. I've been a practicing therapist for over 15 years, and have practiced therapy in a variety of settings. I've worked with teens, adults and seniors; people who were ready to make a change in their lives, people who were going through difficult transitions. My goal is to co-create a working relationship with you where personal transformation is possible.
I don't have a "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy. I meet clients where they are, and recognize that at different times, and for different people, different approaches are needed. The approach I use most often is Cognitive-Behavioral. What that means is that I'll be asking you not only how you think and feel about an event or person, but what you tell yourself about it. I find it most helpful to assess a client's strengths, rather than to diagnose their problems.
I can also take a solution-focused approach. This is an approach where we focus on one problem, and without going too deep, we come up with a solution or resolution to that problem.
At times, I wear a more traditional therapist hat, asking questions and encouraging you to explore your thoughts, feelings and actions. I may also act as a coach, giving you encouragement and providing emotional support as you do what it takes to make changes in your life. I can be direct, calling you on your old patterns when I see them. I can also listen and witness when you are in the vulnerable place of speaking from your heart. Your goals are important to me!
In my non-therapist life, I am a musician and photographer, and have a wide appreciation for the arts. If you are someone who considers yourself to be creative in any way, I'd love to work with you. Creative people often "get" other creative people--the way we move through the world in a slightly different way, and the creative challenges we set up for ourselves.
- Relationship issues
- Self esteem
I also have experience in Stress, Anxiety, Addictions, LGBT, Family conflicts, Trauma and abuse, Intimacy-related issues, Eating disorders, Sleeping disorders, Parenting issues, Anger management, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder

Neville has understood me better than I could understand myself. He helped me go through some really rough road and helped me feel like a much happier and stronger human being.
Neville is a great listener and for the first time in my life I feel understood by someone. He knows my concerns and he knows how to get myself able to fix them. He's motivating me to get myself up again and try more and more, at least with babysteps. That's what I call a friend.
Neville is compassionate, honest, and insightful. He meets you exactly where you are in life and expertly tailors sessions that allow space to reflect, grow, and in my case, heal. I could not recommend him more.
Neville is very good at his job and has great insight to solutions for problems and situations
He’s very understanding and highly perceptive. His techniques are beyond the theoretical aspects of psychology but also the spiritual part of being human. I find these things important.
I am delighted with the progress I have made so far with Neville. I am looking forward to learning more techniques in helping me deal with anxiety and understanding more about my trust issues and how to overcome these problematic areas in my life.
Neville has been exceptional at listening to my story and the problems I've been facing with. Not only has he been supportive in helping me realize what is healthy/unhealthy, but he's also shined a bright light on a version of myself that I now strive to work towards.
Neville is hands down the best therapist I've ever had. He is very patient, understanding and addresses any and all concerns you may have. I highly recommend him!
Extremely pleased with my sessions with Neville. Brilliant person and great at his Job! Always quick to respond and check in with you! Genuinely cares.
