About Me

Hello!
I am a professional counselor licensed in Georgia with over 15 years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship issues, family and interpersonal conflict, self-esteem issues, parenting problems, and career challenges. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma or emotional abuse and grief and loss.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not judge. My integrative approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and person-centered. I will tailor our sessions to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

Nichola Smith is the only therapist I’ve seen that works for me! She’s very open and relatable to her patients and while we talk about serious topics we also have a good laugh!

Nichola is extremely personable but also professional. She is more than willing and able to address anything and everything I need but also she sees is needed. I like that sessions go where they need to but we’re also tackling the issues. I’m a very direct person and I like that whether she is or not she’s been that way with me. She’s amazing! I’m not crazy about the Better Help app or system but I’m 100% only staying because of her. This model fits my needs best and I’m grateful she’s been very accommodating.

Nichola is amazing! She's so easy to talk to and more importantly she listens and offers thought provoking solutions and scenarios. I enjoy our conversations and find them very helpful. She always gives me 'homework', things to think about and then we go over them in our next session. I really like her approach and respect her expertise and advice.
