Hi my name is Nick and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. My approach to therapy is to meet you where you are. I'm not the expert on all things, especially you. I want to work with you to find your strengths and use your expertise in yourself to find answers to the questions you have. My job isn't to judge and give advice, it's to help you find your own path to successful change.
I have been an LPC for 6 years, working with adults, teens, and children. My focus in therapy is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Client-centered treatment modalities. I hope to help you discover in yourself the tools to change your thoughts, feelings and behaviors to bring better consequences to your life in a comfortable environment.
Parents, I am trained in play therapy and Child Parent Relationship Therapy. Using this modality, I can teach you how to use tools in play therapy to connect with your child on a deeper level using play, the child's natural language, as a bridge. I have experience working with children with ADHD as well as other disorders.
I am a non-judgmental counselor when it comes to medical marijuana, and understand the benefits this and other medications in coordination with counseling and coping strategies can create an environment of personal growth and positive change.

Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy
LPC #6519 (Expires: 2022-06-29)
Nick is a very versatile therapist. He isn't only focused on CBT only. He's focused on tailoring your therapy to you. If he knows something did not work for you, he will ask why it did not work and if it's valid reasoning he's not going to waste your time and money trying that same method again. He doesn't sugar coat and he's not rainbows and butterflies which is exactly what I want in a therapist. I don't pay for rainbows and butterflies, I pay for real help. Not for someone to tell me everything to pretty and happy and positive. He offers a variety of communication methods which I greatly appreciate because I do better writing versus someone staring at me while I try to answer questions because it gives me time to reflect. Nick genuinely cares and checks on you when you don't touch base which I don't know any therapist from my past that ever did that. I've had plenty to of experience with therapist and Nick is not your run of the mill therapist. He may not be for everyone but I do believe everyone needs to give him a shot because I do believe he could tailor his practice to anyone.
Nick asks helpful questions and lets me vent as much as I need! He’s very sensitive to topics of trauma and reminds me to be gentle with myself. Excellent guy, absolutely recommend.
Nick has been so helpful to me. My anxiety and depression is much better and even my confidence in myself has increased. I’m fortunate that Nick is my counselor.
Nick is a fantastic therapist
Nick is a great listener and asks the perfect questions. He does a tremendous job of balancing asking about the things that stress me and the things that bring me joy. I always feel more optimistic after our video chat sessions.
Nick is the best councilor I’ve ever had. He’s engaged and thoughtful.

Nick listens well hand offers great tools (books, videos, challenges, etc) to help with struggles you may have. He is also very kind.
Nick has a very nonjudgemental & easy going approach. He makes it very easy to open up & share what is really on my mind. His response time is unbelievable, I have never gone unanswered.
My counselor has literally saved me.
He is fantastic. Best thing I’ve done!
He’s amazing! He’s been helping so much!
I think Nick is a great counselor! He is very helpful and he is very trustworthy. His suggestions have been very helpful for improving my mental health.
I have never had a counselor as great as Nick. He’s helped me gain confidence in myself, and in my relationships in life. He’s taught me things about myself that I would’ve never learned on my own. I can’t thank him enough for the work he puts in.
Nick is straightforward and to the point. He seems as if he genuinely cares and wants to see me grow and get past my issues.
Nick has been extremely understanding of my issues and has been very helpful in giving me tools and new skills to work through trauma and everyday problems. Talking with him has already greatly helped me understand my problems better and start healing and moving forward. He really listens and gives advice that is truly beneficial and personable. I never thought I would look forward to therapy/counseling but I am happy with what I have already accomplished in a short amount of time and look forward to more progress in the future.
Nick is an excellent therapist. Thoughtful, caring, and attentive.
Initially I was concerned because I was being paired with a Male counselor, I did not select preferences. I was upfront about my reservations via messaging before our initial session and he was very understanding that at any point in time I have the option to switch counselors I don't owe him anything. His specialities listed included Children therapy, ADHD, and many others but not what i thought applied to me with the exception of ADD. He's helping me become more self aware, people's feelings are their own. It's not my responsibility to make them happy and I've always known this but he's helped me understamd why I felt like i needed to be the fixer. Why i avoid my feelings because helping people with their's has just seemed easier even though it could be taxing on my relationships at home. I also really wanted tools to manage anxiety and my ADD and hes givem me resources to help so i didn't have to utilize medicine. DISCLAIMER: I've only been working with Mr.Livingston for about 3 weeks and the entire time he's been attentive and helpful. I feel like my life is getting Better because of his Help.
