Hello! My name is Nicole Byrum and I am an independently licensed marriage and family therapist. I have over 14 years of experience in the clinical setting and have come to understand the importance of the therapeutic relationship. One of my strengths as a therapist is the ability to connect with a variety of people! Working in a community mental health setting throughout my career has afforded me the opportunity to work with a variety of people as well as a variety of presenting issues. Much of my work has been with those facing addictions, mood disorders, and anxiety. However, my Master's Degree is in marriage and family therapy and I enjoy working with couples and families as well!
I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy and am always on the lookout for the strengths my clients possess. I also love to teach new skills and desire to equip my clients with practical tools. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but will format the treatment plan to your individual needs.
I'm so glad you've decided to take this step toward change. Whatever you are going through, you don't have to do it alone. I look forward to working with you!

It's weirdly comforting how less toxic my inner dialogue has become since working with Nicole.

Nicole has been very helpful in showing me how to figure things out for myself, and change my way of thinking. She has taken the time to help me work through the issues that led me to try Betterhelp.
