About me

Hello! My name is Niki and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of New Jersey. I have been working the mental health field for about 10 years and have worked with individuals experiencing a variety of issues including; anxiety, depression, addiction, family conflict, stress-related issues, communication problems, and relationship issues. I received my Master's in Counseling from Seton Hall University and have since worked mainly in community based mental health centers, in addition to in-home and residential settings.

My approach to counseling is personal and warm, the styles of counseling that I draw from include person-centered, narrative, and solution focused. As I believe that you are the expert on your own life, but that sometimes everyone needs a little help. I find that getting to know you, the issues you are experiencing, and your desired outcomes allow me the opportunity to work with you in order to create a space where you can feel heard, valued, and understood. Throughout this process, my main goal is to assist you in identifying the circumstances that are causing your distress and determining how we can work together to have your needs met. I believe that counseling is a process, but from that process comes personal growth, insight, and self determination in forging your own path forward. I look forward to being a part of your process!
