Nicole Turner Beardslee, LPC-MH, LIMHP
Hello! Thank you for checking out my profile.
My name is Nicole Turner Beardslee. I am an LIMHP, LPC and LADC. I am a licensed independent mental health professional, a licensed professional counselor and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor in the States of Nebraska, Texas and South Dakota.
I have been told by my clients that talking with me in therapy is like 'talking to your favorite aunt'. What a nice compliment! I am truly blessed to work with many different individuals from many walks of life. I am passionate about helping my clients feel empowered and confident and to find healing. Scheduling an appointment, the first step, is the hardest, and I admire your courage. My clients, after the first session often tell me they wish they had started sooner. And it wasn't nearly as worrisome as they imagined.
Being a therapist is my calling. I love what I do, and there is nothing more rewarding than helping others and being part of their journey.
Over the years I have collected knowledge in a variety of mental health areas. Along with providing therapy for depression, stress, anxiety, grief processing and substance abuse issues I excel at helping my clients set healthy boundaries in their relationships, improve their sense of identity and meaning, as well as working on anger management, adjusting to chronic medical conditions and life transitions.
In my spare time I enjoy playing scrabble with my husband Tony and walking our two Corgi's Dollie and Murray. Tony and I are empty nesters and the proud parents of six amazing adult children who are out there in the world living their best lives. Two of our children are active military members and my husband is a military veteran. We are a blended family; we each had three children when we married so essentially, we were the Brady Bunch.
My hobbies include shopping antique stores for vintage china spending time in nature, gardening, creative writing, photography, listening to and collecting vinyl records and watching Wheel of Fortune.
